What to Do

  • Prayer walk, singspiration for 30 mins
  • Go out in pairs, preferably a brother and a sister. Try not to have two brothers paired up.
  • As one shares the gospel, the other person PRAYS quietly
  • PRAY with or BLESS them at the end of the conversation
  • Debriefing with the group
    • Share what God has done
    • Share what you have learned
    • Give thanks and PRAY for the people you’ve met

How to Start and End

  • Greet friend and introduce yourself first
    • “Hi, good morning/afternoon. My name is ___. This is ___.”

  • Ask for permission to share the gospel. Show them the cube or the Wordless book to draw their attention as you ask.
    • “Do you have a few minutes for us to share some good news with you?
    • “Have you ever heard of Jesus?. Can we have a few minutes to tell you more about Him?

  • What if they say, “no” or “not interested”?
    • Don’t stop at the first no. Sometimes people may not know what to say except “no”. Our experience shows that even with an initial no, you can still talk a lot with that person.
    • For ’No’: “It is really short and would not take up too much of your time.”
    • For ‘Not interested’: “Do you mind to tell us why you are not interested?”

  • Try to carry a dialogue while sharing the gospel. While one shares, the other prays.

  • Invite the friend to accept Jesus. If they are willing,
    • Ask them to pray out loud (not quietly in their hearts) to invite Jesus into their lives. Praying out loud will help them to affirm their own decisions.
    • Exchange contact info (phone, email, etc.) with them. Give them church information.

  • If they are not ready to accept Jesus, do the following:
    • Bless them in Jesus’ name before leaving. Ask how you can pray for them.
    • Ask if they are willing to give us contact info for follow up. Give them a copy of the tract if they are interested.
